Telugu Lyrics

About the Song

"Shakthi Cheta Kadanenu" is a powerful declaration of faith that draws inspiration from Zechariah 4:6, one of the most quoted verses about divine power and human limitation. This Telugu Christian worship song beautifully articulates the fundamental truth that God's work in our lives is accomplished not through human strength or might, but through the power of His Spirit.

The chorus repeatedly emphasizes this central theme: "Not by power, not by might, but by My Spirit, says the Lord." This powerful refrain reminds believers that no matter how challenging their circumstances may be, God's Spirit is sufficient to accomplish His purposes. It calls Christians to surrender their self-reliance and trust completely in divine intervention.

The first verse addresses a great mountain, referencing Zerubbabel's seemingly impossible task of rebuilding the temple. The lyrics declare that before God's chosen servant, even the mightiest obstacles will become level ground. This verse speaks to anyone facing insurmountable challenges, encouraging them that with God, no obstacle is too great. What appears as a giant enemy will become flat ground when God's Spirit moves.

The imagery of mountains becoming plains is a powerful biblical metaphor that appears throughout Scripture. It represents God's ability to remove obstacles that seem immovable by human standards. For believers today, this verse offers hope that the "mountains" in their lives—whether they be financial struggles, health challenges, relationship problems, or spiritual battles—can be flattened by God's power.

The second verse shifts to address Israel directly, calling them to listen and recognize how blessed they are. It poses a rhetorical question: "Who is like you, saved by the Lord?" This verse celebrates the unique position of God's people and reminds them of their identity as those who have been rescued and redeemed by Yahweh.

This question echoes throughout biblical history, from the songs of Moses and Miriam after the Red Sea crossing to the psalms of David. It reminds believers of their privileged position as children of God and calls them to gratitude and worship. The verse encourages Christians to reflect on their salvation and the incomparable gift of being chosen and protected by the Almighty.
